How does a stock repurchase plan affect my participation?
I have 117 shares of Yahoo when it bought $ 42 Over 2 years since yesterday was worth only $ 18 per share. Today, Microsoft announced its bid for Yahoo and $ 31 per share offer for Yahoo. So, questions is, what will happen to my shares of Yahoo, when the transaction is approved by the Department of Justice? Do I automatically get a cash in my trading account at $ 31 per share, or I will receive shares of Microsoft?
unless the case goes through, you will have the opportunity to get a hand in every 31 or 95 MSFT stock for each share of Yahoo.
